2. Recent Funding from the Hawaii State Legislature
In 2023, YWCA received a $225,000 one time grant from the State of Hawaii (taxpayer funds) to help with their Dress for Success program. The initial ask was for $250,000, so they received most of what they asked for. Our Health & Wellness program has been a treasured service to the community over the years. After careful thought and consideration, YWCA O‘ahu has made the difficult decision to close our Health & Wellness program.
Below, you will find a timeline of the closure dates as it relates to our Health & Wellness services as well as a list of fitness centers in the area for your consideration to help fulfill your health and wellness needs.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to thank all our members once again for their loyalty over the years. We have enjoyed serving you and encourage everyone to reach out to our Member Services staff should you have any questions or concerns.

Timeline for Closure
Last day for all Health & Wellness classes is Sunday, March 31, 2024.The Fitness Center and pool will remain open through June for members who would still like to use the facilities. The last day of member access is Sunday, June 30, 2024. As of that date the Health & Wellness program will be officially closed.
